MASS galleri is founded on the goal to explore ways of presenting and making art more accessible.
MASS will create new and engaging encounters between art and the audience.
The gallery exists in a non-geographicly location. We do not own a studio or a space. Rather we rent spaces for our projects – wich gives us the opportunity to connect with new audiences, working with different people and setting a vibe with the locations we work in.
The founders
The founders of MASS, Kaja Krøvel and Martine Sunde, started the project gallery with a desire to create accessible and inclusive art spaces that challenges traditional gallery conventions. By combining their artistic backgrounds and entrepreneurial spirit, Krøvel and Sunde are working to build a community-centered gallery that supports both artists and art enthusiasm. The founders are both from Ålesund, where the project gallery has its based.
